The makeshift bridge constructed to allow residents of Apete in Ibadan to cross from one side of the ongoing bridge project has collapsed with no lives lost.

And many are wondering whether the travails of the people of Apete is a case of bad government or bad contractor? Either way, the government engaged the services of the contractor hence it cannot be exonerated from this protracting mess.

Is a good bridge for the citizens too much to ask for?

I heard the makeshift bridge collapsed when it was raining in the midnight. No life was lost because it was late in the night when most people would have gotten home.
