The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has declared Odua Telelcom, popularly called O'Net as inactive.

The regulatory body declared the Ibadan-based telecoms company and 13 others including NITEL as inactive operators claiming they no longer contribute to the subscriber information it regularly releases.

The management of O'Net had been unable to rejuvenate the company and capitalise on its regional status to attract more Nigerians to its services.

Recent investigation by IBPulse.com revealed that the company may be exiting the telecoms market to entirely focus on data services by providing affordable broadband services. It will however be competing with Smile Communications if it finally decides to take that decision.
