Nigerian government
is partnering with Huawei Technology Co. Ltd to train female unemployed Nigerians
from Oyo state, southwest Nigeria.
According
to Dapo Lam Adesina, Oyo state commissioner to industry, science and technology,
participating female graduates will be part of a 3-day ICT training programme.
“The
programme is designed to enable participants acquire knowledge and build
technical and job-ready skills that match employers’ demands,” he said.
“The
programme would be having representatives from all the States of the Federation,
although only the best three candidates from each state at the 3-day training programme
will receive further training to become a Huawei Certified Data Associate.”
He said
the successful candidates will participate in job interviews and will be
empowered with skills training to enable them successfully participate at job
interviews in any telecom company in the country.
Entry requirement for the Programme is a minimum of
OND Certificate in ICT related courses/profession.
Kindly
note that the Federal Ministry of Communication Technology has made
arrangements to subsidize travelling and accommodation expenses of
candidates for the duration of the Programme.
