Popular blogger, Linda Ikeji has published yet another derogatory error-laden story about the residents of the ancient city of Ibadan. According to the blogger, kids in Ibadan spent New Year day at the escalator at Shoprite Ibadan.

While she attempted to distance herself from the post, she however went ahead to publish the unconfirmed story.

She said she got the tip from one of her readers in Ibadan

She said: "The kids came to the mall with their guardians to spend the New Year but ended up spending most part of their visit at the mall's escalator. The kids were initially so scared of the elevator, but when they finally got to use it, they loved it and took turns going up and down the elevator...from dawn till dusk. There was actually a queue and a lot of argument about who goes first."

This is the second time in two weeks that Linda is attempting to publish viral posts on Ibadan. In an earlier post, she published unconfirmed pictures of the Ibadan airport.

In an exclusive chat with IBPulse.com, Sade Ayoola who follows posts on LIB said the decision to keep dissing Ibadan by the blogger is unnecessary.

"I think she is trying to get more traffic to her site but I don't think projecting an entire city as backward and retarded is unprofessional," she said.

On her blog, some readers are already calling her attention to the regular negative posts about Ibadan, some even advised the blogger to visit her home town more often.

An anonymous reader said: "Linda, they are just kids for crying out loud! I don't think I like the innuendos you portray anytime you have to write about Ibadan. I am sure you will appreciate our great city more if only you visit your own town more often."
