The Oluyole Warriors, Shooting Stars Football Club edged close to relegation with the result of the latest game against Enyimba Football Club of Aba. The Glo Nigeria Premier League match played at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba Ibadan end in a 1 - 1 draw.
Before Wednesday’s outing, Shooting Stars had dropped a lot of
valuable home points in earlier games; and despite knowing that only
three points against Enyimba will help sustain their hopes of beating
the drop, 3SC had to come from behind to salvage the 1-1 draw.
The Peoples Elephants had shot ahead in the second half in Ibadan
through Andrew Abalogu; but the Oluyole Warriors managed a goal from the
penalty spot which looks far from adequate to help their course of
staying afloat.
Reports from Ibadan show that Shooting Stars fans are taken aback
with the stark reality that they may be campaigning in the lower
division next season; as they face an uphill task getting results their
way with four matches to go this season.
