A mobile court under Operation Shield 3 of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has sentenced Mr. Rasaq Tesi to six months imprisonment for reckless driving with a vehicle with registration number EJG 119 XA.
The court session which was held along Ibadan-Ife expressway also gave him an option of fine to the tune of NGN50,000.
In all, the mobile court presided over by O.O. Ogunkanmi, a Senior Magistrate at Grade II Magistrates’ Court, Oyo State Judiciary convicted 67 offenders for various traffic offenses and acquitted one.
Speaking at the court session, Mr Godwin Ogagaoghene, Oyo State Sector Commander of the FRSC enjoined motorists to obey traffic rules and regulations; he also admonished them to desist from driving above speed limits on various roads and routes.
