Oyo state government has released the names of commissioners, special advisers and their portfolios.


According to the Special Assistant to Oyo state governor on media, Wale Sadeeq, the reappointed commissioners, Adebayo Ojo, Muyiwa Gbadegesin, Zacheus Adelabu and Adetutu Adeyemi-Aigbe, would retain their portfolios as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Commissioner of Health, Finance, and Culture and Tourism respectively.

Also, Oyefunke Oworu, who was Special Adviser Trade and Investment, has been named commissioner for Trade, Cooperatives and Investments.

The former commissioners for Youth and Sports, Dapo Lam-Adesina is now to superintend over the Ministry of Industry, Applied Science and Technology, while S. O. Olaniyonu is in charge of the Education Ministry.

Abiodun Atanda is the Commissioner in charge of Economic Planning and Budget, while Gbade Lana is in charge of Information and Orientation Ministry.

According to the release, Umar Alao will be in charge of the Ministry of Youth and Sports; Lawrence Adewale, Ministry of Environment; while Deji Akande is the new commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development.

The governor also assigned portfolios to the Special Advisers recently sworn into office as follows: Festus Adedayo (Media), Abayomi Oke (Environment), Waheed Gbadamosi (Physical Planning and Urban Development), Ganiyu Fawole (Youth and Sports), Gbolagade Busari (Information and Orientation), Toye Arulogun (Public Affairs) and Mathew Oyedokun (Solid Minerals).

Others, according to the release, are Segun Abolarinwa (Security), Aderonke Adedayo (Due Process), Olubunmi Amoo (Trade, Investment and Cooperatives), Tope Fajana (Millennium Development Goals); Fatai Ibikunle (Parastatals) and Olufunke Olunloyo (Education).
